This site is all about my 'N Gauge' model railway.
The build of my layout and this site are both work in progress, so please do revisit to see the progress on this site and the build of my layout.
My layout is a DCC layout and I use Roco Z21 & iTrain software to operate it. I do/will have the capacity to make some manual operations on the fly. It is my intention to make an attempt at documenting this build and give pointers to where I got any inspiration and advice from. I have not received any gifts or payments from any of the companies I have given links to on this site and it will be down to you to decide if you want to use them or not. I will say it does not pay to jump straight in, but to rather do your homework first and choose the right choices for yourself, everything on here is for your guidance only.
Getting started
As with any project, they all seam to grow into something a lot larger than you anticipate. Mine was no execption, and because of this I did not get the layout I was hoping for. So with that in mind I decided to take up what I had and to start again.
Having gained some useful experiance of what to do and more importantly what not to do, so I started to redesign a new layout using a software package called AnyRail. My next steps were to redsign my outside shed in order to house my layout, and also during that period, design my new layout with AnyRail, to fit the new space I now have in my regisigned shed space.
As you can see this is still very eairly in the build and the work on the shed has been completed, but It is my intention to be able to have an up to date picture of where my layout is currently at.
Thank you for your visit today and I hope that you found it useful and will revisit in the future.
